About the Faculty:
Dwight E. Smith-Daniels is Professor and Chair in the Department of Information Systems and Operations Management in the Raj Soin College of Business at Wright State University, and a member of the faculty of the College’s Master of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. He received a B.B.A. from the University of Michigan and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Arizona. Prior to joining WSU in 2008, Dr. Smith-Daniels was on the faculty of the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, where he was the Director of the MBA Specialization in Supply Chain Management. Over the past fifteen years, Dr. Smith-Daniels has concentrated his teaching efforts in the areas of Project and Supply Chain Management at the Masters level, in addition to teaching several Doctoral Seminars on those topics. He has developed courses for Day, Evening, Online, Technology, and Executive MBA programs. In all of his courses, active learning principles are used to engage participants in the various problems that they encounter in their business environment. Dr. Smith-Daniels also conducts seminars and teaches professional development courses on project management to a variety leading technology companies, including Boeing Helicopters, General Dynamics, Honeywell, Intel, Motorola, On Semi-Conductor, and Raytheon Missile Systems. Dr. Smith-Daniels is widely published in the fields of project and supply chain management, with publications in a variety of aca¬demic and practitioner journals, including the Journal of Operations Management, Decision Sciences, IIE Transactions, Naval Research Logistics and Production and Inventory Manage¬ment. His research focuses on Project Management and Planning in Technology and Supply Chain environments, including software, new product and supply chain development.
Jeffrey A. Ogden is Associate Professor of Logistics Management in the Department of Informational Sciences at the Air Force Institute of Technology. He received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Weber State University, an MBA with a Concentration in Supply Chain Managemetn from Arizona State University, and a Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management from Arizona State University. Prior to coming to Dayton he was a member of the Faculty Brigham Young University. He is co-author of Supply Chain Manage: From Vision to Implementation with Stanley Fawcett and Lisa Ellram, a leading text in the field of integrated Supply Chain Management. Dr. Ogden is widely published in the leading journals in the field, including the Journal of Operations Management, the Journal of Supply Chain Management, the International Journal of Production Research, the International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management, as well as a number of Research Monographs published by CAPS research. He has taught executive courses on supply chain management in a variety of venues, and serves as an adjunct faculty member in the Master of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Managmenet at Wright State University.
