Letter from General Donald J. Hoffman
SUBJECT: InfoTech 2010 Conference and Trade Show
28 JUN 2010

1. The Dayton-Wright Chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) will hold it's 20th annual InfoTech Conference and Trade Show at the Dayton Convention Center, 18-21 October. The theme this year is "The NET – Connecting at the Speed of Need." Presentations and seminars will focus on capabilities the Air Force requires to be effective as it continues to support Joint Operations. Our Industry partners are developing innovations that will enable significant gains in all aspects of our missions. These innovations are foundational to strengthening excellence in supporting the Nuclear Enterprise, improving Integrated Life Cycle Management Processes supporting the Warfighters, implementing the Acquisition Improvement Plan, and conserving energy and resources under AFMC control.

2. AFCEA is an international, non-profit, non-lobbying group representing top military, government, and industry professionals in the fields of information technology, communications, and intelligence. Since InfoTech 2010 offers an opportunity for professional development, the conference may be designated as an alternate duty location. Supervisors may also award Continuous Learning Credits for attending the major conference events and professional development classes. Please ensure that the members of your organization are informed of this opportunity for professional development. A SF Form 1982, Authorization, Agreement and Certification of Training, must be used by government personnel to register for the conference keynote and plenary sessions.

3. The Dayton-Wright Chapter is making the conference's venue and facilities available for government "collateral meetings." I encourage you to take advantage of this venue while allowing your folks to attend the presentations and visit the Trade Show. For more information about InfoTech or to schedule meetings, contact Minda Moore or by phone at 937-879-3483.
